A New Definition of Dance
A New Definition of Dance highlights the accomplishments of internationally renowned dancers with disabilities offering community engagement opportunities raising consciousness around the issues of disability.
History
“A New Definition of Dance” began in October 2015 as the dream of our current Board member, Dr. Merry Lynn Morris, a member of the Dance faculty at the University of South Florida. Her hope was that “A New Definition of Dance” would serve as a powerful educational tool, challenging, revising, and broadening our existing perspectives on human existence, experience, and ability.
This program has grown over the years to include more artists from more countries and has expanded to other cities in Florida.
