Arts4All Florida provides a variety of professional learning workshops and webinars to help arts education professionals increase their knowledge of inclusive strategies and accommodations.

Workshops

Arts4All Florida offers workshops to school districts to help make their arts programs more accessible to those of differing abilities.

Workshops include:

  • Engaging Practices in the Arts– This training presents information on developing lessons using Universal Design for Learning guidelines and Differentiated Instruction that is specific to the arts, incorporating accommodations, and assessing the performance of students with disabilities in the arts. This workshop also provides opportunities for arts educators to make and take adapted art tools back to their classrooms. This session is appropriate for teaching artists, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals. (5-6 hours)
  • Basic Accommodations in the Visual Arts – This training is perfect for new classroom arts teachers or those looking to brush up on basic accommodations for engaging students with disabilities in the visual arts. A variety of types of disabilities will be included. Participants will leave with practical tips and tools they can use in the next day in their classroom as well as a list of resources.
  • Basic Accommodations in the Performing Arts – This training is perfect for new classroom arts teachers or those looking to brush up on basic accommodations for including students with disabilities in the performing arts. General tips as well as sections broken out for music, theatre, and dance will be included as well as a variety of types of disabilities. Participants will leave with practical tips and tools they can use in the next day in their classroom as well as a list of resources.
